Yardmine ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account
  • Listing Information: Address, sale details, and descriptions you provide when creating listings
  • Communications: Information you provide when contacting us

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address
  • Error and Replay Data: Technical details when something on the site breaks, such as the page address, browser and the error itself

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Process and display your listings
  • Send you important notifications about your account and listings
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide support
  • Improve and personalize the Service
  • Analyze usage patterns and trends

  • Public Listings: Address and sale details are publicly visible when you publish a listing
  • Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, email, and the analytics and error monitoring services named in Section 5)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Analytics, Error Monitoring and Cookies

We use three outside services to understand how Yardmine is used and to fix problems. Each one uses cookies or similar browser storage.

  • Google Analytics (Google): pages you visit, actions such as signing up or creating a listing, your browser and device type, and approximate location based on your IP address.
  • PostHog: pages you visit, how long you stay, what you click (including the text of the button or link), and actions such as saving a sale or getting directions. PostHog never records what you type. If you're signed in, it may link this activity to your account ID (not your name or email).
  • Sentry: error reports when something on the site breaks, including the page address and your browser. When an error happens, Sentry also saves a short replay of the visit: page layout, clicks and scrolling. All text, anything you type, and all images are hidden in replays, so a replay doesn't show your name, email, addresses or photos.

We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load Google Analytics or PostHog, and Sentry doesn't save replays. Error reports are still sent so we can keep the site working.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Listing data may be retained for analytics purposes after listings expire.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Export your data in a portable format

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.

11. International Users

The Service is operated in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
